The Biz - Pentecost '10

Sunday 23rd May was Pentecost. This is the birthday of the Church, the time when the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples of Jesus to share the Good News of Jesus, God's love for everyone and new life through faith in Jesus and Saviour and Lord.

The story of Pentecost is told in Acts, chapter 2, in The Bible.

The Spirit came in the form of tongues of fire and a mighty wind. The Holy spirit was also known to come in the form of a dove, the symbol of peace. Our activities were based around these aspects of the Spirit and, of course, we celebrated with a birthday cake and lots of fun.
